A year ago, if you had told me I’d be planning an epic, multi-year journey through Latin America with my kids, I wouldn’t have believed you. But here I am—packing up my life in Georgia, preparing my home for rental, and getting ready to trade suburban predictability for a life of adventure, culture, and endless possibilities.
This isn’t just about travel. This is about ultimate freedom.
Breaking Free from the Ordinary
For years, I lived a structured life—marriage, mortgages, routines. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t me. I tried to mold myself into the picture-perfect version of what I thought life should be, but deep down, I knew I wasn’t built for the conventional. I’m not meant to be stuck in the same place, doing the same things, day in and day out.
I crave new experiences. I thrive in unpredictability. And most importantly, I refuse to live a life that doesn’t excite me.
The Financial Freedom to Do Whatever I Want
I’ve built a life that allows me to walk away from the traditional grind. I run a business remotely, I have rental properties that generate income, and I’ve structured my finances in a way that gives me absolute choice in how I live my life.
Want to take off for a few months? No problem.
Want to spend a year exploring Patagonia? Done.
Want to wake up by the ocean, sip coffee, and listen to the waves while my kids play in the sand? I can make that happen.
I’m not working a job I hate. I’m not tied down by responsibilities I didn’t choose. I’ve designed my life in a way that allows me to focus on what truly matters—experiences, personal growth, and the people I love.
Adventure Without Limits
I’m about to take my kids on the adventure of a lifetime—driving through Latin America, immersing ourselves in new cultures, and experiencing life in a way that most people only dream about.
We’ll spend the summer in Costa Rica, exploring its rainforests, surfing on its beaches, and eating fresh, local food. After that? Maybe Peru. Maybe Argentina. Maybe we’ll settle somewhere for a while, or maybe we’ll keep moving. The beauty is that I don’t have to decide right now.
The world is open to me in a way that it never has been before, and I am embracing it fully.
No More Settling
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that I don’t have to settle for a life that doesn’t make me happy. That goes for relationships, jobs, and even locations.
I’ve walked away from relationships that didn’t serve me, from men who weren’t emotionally available, from friendships that drained me. I’ve let go of expectations that were never really mine to begin with.
And now? I’m free.
The Best Part? I’m Just Getting Started
This is just the beginning of my new chapter. The part where I fully step into the life I was meant to live.
A life where I get to wake up every morning excited about what’s next.
A life where my kids grow up seeing the world, learning new languages, and understanding different cultures.
A life where I have the freedom to be whoever I want to be—and change my mind as often as I want.
Most people spend their lives waiting for the right moment, waiting for permission to live the life they really want. I’m done waiting.
This is my life. And I’m living it on my terms.
